Starting Therapy

Please note that due to my busy schedule, I am often unable to return calls on the day they are received.  I will attempt to return your call by the end of the next business day.  I often can reply to emails the same day. 

 After we have talked, if you feel that I would be a good fit for you, we will schedule an intake session. This is a time to meet one another and for me to gather a good history of what is going on in your life that has prompted you or your family to seek counseling. An intake session typically lasts one hour and provides an opportunity for you to gain a better sense of what it would be like for us to work together.

If you are a new client, I will send you a link via email to complete the applicable intake paperwork.  Once you have completed this paperwork online I will be notified.  Please bring your insurance card to our first session if you do not upload a copy along with the paperwork.  We will discuss the information and policies included in the paperwork during our first session. 

I accept most major insurances and Idaho Medicaid. Payment is due by cash, check or credit card at the time of service, unless we have agreed to an alternative billing arrangement. On special circumstances I do offer a sliding scale or reduced fee scale for services.  My current billing rate for sessions is $175 for the initial hour intake, $150 per hour session after this or $120 for a 45 minute session.

Please note that if you have not met your deductible for the year, psychological services are typically put toward your deductible first and you will therefore be responsible for those fees.
